Eternal Hope Ministries — ongoing volunteer technical and media support
Project date: 2024–present
Eternal Hope Ministries is a church in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Since early 2024 I have provided ongoing volunteer technical and media support there, covering the audiovisual systems, the computers and network behind them, and the media produced around services and events.
This is unpaid volunteer work rather than a client engagement. The scope is practical and recurring: preparing and running sound and projection, handling media playback, supporting the equipment and systems, filming and lighting, and managing the media output afterwards.
My contribution
- Sound and projection support
- Preparation and playback of projection PDFs and videos
- Persian translation and subtitles for worship videos
- Computer and network support
- Equipment installation and control
- Filming
- Lighting
- Video editing
- YouTube upload and channel management
- Music-video and related media production
- Logo animation
- Audio recording
Approach
The recurring nature of the work shapes how it is set up. Projection material, playback files and equipment configurations are prepared and organized ahead of time so each service or event runs from a known-good state rather than being assembled on the day.
Media work runs from capture through to publication: filming and lighting on site, editing afterwards, Persian translation and subtitles where worship videos need them, and upload and management on the YouTube channel.
On the technical side, the computers, network and installed equipment are supported so the people operating them week to week can do so without needing a specialist present for routine use.
